Trout River Falls is situated between Dullstroom and Lydenburg. The lodge is 31 km’s from Dullstroom.

A cascading waterfall is a unique feature of this venue and has quiet intimate picnic spots for private occasions.

Luxury 4 star lodge with excellent fishing facilities in 5 dams (0.5 to 1 hectare) and 2 km’s of Dorps river fishing. The dams are stocked regularly with rainbow and golden trout. The river has natural brown trout, but is stocked with rainbow trout on a regular basis. The largest fish caught to date is a rainbow trout, weighing in at 2.4 kg’s.

Catch and release is promoted and float tubing is allowed. Wading is allowed in the river. There is no additional rod fee and fly fishing tuition can be organized. Rods are available for hire at R70 per rod per day and all the waters are within walking distance of the chalets.

Horse riding can be found at a nearby venue.

Accommodation consists out of 8 double chalets, sleeping a total of 16 guests, all with self catering facilities. The open plan design includes a fully equipped kitchenette, lounge/bedroom with full en suite bathroom. Each chalet accommodates two adults and a sleeper couch is available for children. DSTV is available in all the chalets, as are log fires and under floor heating. A Weber braai is available.

This versatile venue has self catering, bed and breakfast and dinner bed and breakfast options available. Meals can be taken at the restaurant and tea garden. Should a braai be the order of the day, braai packs and salads can be delivered to your chalet.
