This 500 hectare estate is situated in the Steenkampsberg mountain range equidistant between Dullstroom & Lydenburg. Being 1700m above sea level it is in a malaria free area; all water is source fed spring water and enjoys warm languid summers and clear crisp winters.
Three star Accommodation
Bald Ibis (overlooks 2 weirs), Guinea Fowl (overlooks 1 weir) and Fish Eagle (overlooks 1 dam) cottages each sleep up to six.
These cottages are beautifully appointed, completely private and each has its own spectacular view by the water. The cottages consist of an open plan Lounge / Kitchen area with large fireplace, 2 bedrooms downstairs, a loft upstairs and 1 bathroom with a bath as well as a "Moon Shower". There is also an outdoor fireplace / braai area, and a "stoep with a view".
Bald Ibis cottage has queen sized beds in the 2 bed rooms downstairs and 2 single beds upstairs; Guinea Fowl cottage has queen sized beds in 1 bedroom downstairs and 1 upstairs with 2 single beds in the other downstairs bedroom and Fish Eagle cottage has a queen bed in one bedroom and 2 singles in each of the others.
Vehicles with a low clearance (suspension) are not suitable for Fish Eagle cottage, high clearance vehicles are preferable though standard vehicles will manage just fine.
The Farmhouse is a 5 sleeper – 3 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed and the others with singles. This cottage has a shower room and a bathroom with a bath and out door shower, a fantastic entertainment area and a wonderful view.
We do allow dogs (at an additional cost of R50 per dog per day) in this cottage as the garden in fenced off.
The Farmhouse is within walking distance of 3 dams. (an extra single bed can be added
to make this a 6 sleeper cottage)
The Dairy cottage is our home away from home. This
sleeps 4 in single beds in 2 bedrooms, both en suite. A large warm kitchen, comfy
lounge with fireplace and a wonderful entertainment area. Within walking distance
of 1 dam.

Four Star Accommodation
Mampuru’s Lodge sleeps up to six. This house is outfitted in the highest quality
from the bedding to the towels to the cutlery and crockery. It has one bedroom with
queen sized bed and open plan bathroom that boasts a double slipper bath, heated
towel rail, fireplace, double headed outdoor shower and private patio. The other
two bedrooms each have two single beds and share a large bathroom with double basin,
ball and claw bath, large shower and bidet. All bedrooms have their own TV (with
DSTV) and private access to outside. The kitchen also offers a dishwashing machine
and an ice making machine.
